Anthologies (as editor)
Rosemary Timperley edited five volumes in the popular Ghost Book
series of short story anthologies. The first three books in the series were edited by Lady
Cynthia Asquith and the fourth was edited by James Turner. Timperley took over as editor
for volumes five to nine, for which she also wrote the introductions. Timperley was of
course fascinated by the supernatural and her introductions offer some interesting
insights. The books that Timperley edited were originally published by Barrie &
Rockliff and later reprinted under the Pan Books imprint.
